Capacity-Building for Mission Driven Organizations in Buffalo

The Fidelis Care Center for Community Advancement (FCCCA) aims to address infrastructure challenges faced by Mission Driven Organizations (MDOs) in Buffalo through its Capacity-Building for Mission Driven Organizations initiative. The Center aligns with the Buffalo Urban League’s mission to enhance social and economic self-sufficiency by providing strategic training and support to nonprofits facing small budgets, funding barriers, and limited access to tailored resources.

The Center offers a comprehensive suite of capacity-building training programs focusing on key areas: organizational development (governance, leadership, board engagement), financial sustainability (budgeting, financial management, grant writing), program design and evaluation (impact measurement, data collection, reporting), workforce development (recruiting, retaining, developing staff), and technology and communications (digital marketing, social media, donor relations). Additionally, it facilitates peer learning and mentorship networks through support circles, experienced mentors, and collaborative online grant-writing workshops. MDOs also gain access to technical assistance, consulting services, financial and grant readiness support.
